PCBC Academy Registration - 2026/2027 Season

Registrations are open and we are looking forward to another fun filled season of biking.

What is PCBC academy? its organised group rides every week for kids aged 8-18. The academy is run for terms 4 and 1. Each group will be around 8-10 kids in size with a coach and a tail end charlie. The groups are organised based on riding ability, fitness and friendships formed and rides will be tailored to the groups ability. The aim of the group rides is to improve fitness and riding ability while having loads of fun.

Rides are every Tuesday from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. Cost is $250, which includes:

  • Group rides every week of term 4 and 1.

  • Tailored coaching for each group. Good adult to child ratio.

  • End of year celebrations - Xmas shuttles and BBQ , last ride of term 4 - pizza night, End of season celebration - pump track races, BBQ and prize giving.

  • Shuttle night - 1 per group/term.

  • Trained coach(s).

New this season:

  • More qualified coaches. We have put 6 more of our coaches through training this year.

  • MTB Camp - Rotorua (at own cost) - academy to provide ride leads. Date TBC.

  • Girls only group

  • Little rippers group will join Tuesday night academy. This group is tailored to the kids aged 8-10 and are just starting out (this is still parent supported so a parent must ride with their child, but there will be a group lead/coach). The reason we ask for a parent to ride with their child in this group is because they are younger and have less stamina, so when they have had enough there is the opportunity to take off home.

Before registering please read the Riders Agreement. By joining the PCBC Youth Academy you and your child accept you have both read this agreement and will adhere to it.

To enable us to put you in the correct group, please advise what skill level you are. Please look at the table below and let us know in the registration form what level you are. The registration form will be in the email that you will receive after payment.

We understand that times are tough out there. We have financial hardship arrangements available on request. Please Email and we can have a chat about options.
