Maraetai Forest offers a range of MTB tracks, ranging from Grade 2 to Grade 5

PARK OPEN

The majority of tracks are typically suited for intermediate riders and above. The tracks range from flow trail (berms) to technical tracks (off camber, rooty, drops). Jumps are spread throughout some tracks.

 

Trail Status / Notices.

Following rain - allow for a day or so of sun and wind to dry up tracks. Drying up very quickly.

Note: pig hunters can be in the forest to manage numbers. They can be in there on any day and any time. The hunting dogs are dangerous to other dogs. We are currently working on a plan to advise public when they are in there and where.

We have two entrances.

There is parking at the end of Okaroro Drive and some at the end of Rewa Road.
